Since research at ZMNT is mainly been carried out by non-permament staff such as bachelor, master and doctoral student, the know-how gained by these students needs to be documented and disseminated properly in order to guarantee knowledge transfer between different groups and between different generations of bachelor, master and doctoral students. To this end, a Wiki is available where the knowledge regarding processing is being collected. All users of ZMNT are obliged to share their know-how with other users by posting results on this Wiki-page. It is important that the documentation of the process knowledge goes well beyond what is usually stated in e.g. the appendix of a thesis or in a journal publication: in addition to a thorough description of all process conditions, it should include SEM/OM images, measurement curves etc. so that other users can judge whether the process would be useful for themselves or whether further development and refinement is required.
